The astonishingly fast AF CMOS sensor allows you to focus faster and more accurately than ever. The image sensor offers the perfect balance of speed, system size, light sensitivity, resolution and depth-of-field and it delivers superb colour reproduction in your images. You can take your photography to the next level with the thin wide-angle lens. The compact and lightweight lens has two aspherical lens elements that deliver superior resolution and contrast. The smooth aperture mechanism allows for a simple adjustment for sharp of soft backgrounds. You can even operate the lens focus via the camera body controls. This camera boasts a revolutionary autofocus system that instantly switches between 73-point Phase-Detection AF system and 135-point Contrast Detect AF system for sharp and vivid images in any situation. Photography power The V1 compact camera is bolstered with an EXPEED 3 image processor that is engineered to deliver supreme speed and performance at every moment. The two powerful in-built engines process images at an impressive 600 megapixels a second, enabling noise reduction and cutting edge shooting modes. Now you can capture anything with the ultra-fast continuous shot, delivering full-res images at 60fps. You can even shoot at 10fps in a tight focus shot! You can bring your stills to life with a click thanks to the Motion Snapshot that simultaneously records a slow-motion movie and still images. After capturing your shot the camera combines the two to create a 'living image', an innovative and impressive way to capture your image. The Smart Photo Selector shoots 20 high-res images before and after releasing the shutter automatically saving the 'best' five for you to choose from. Camera performance The robust Nikon 1 V1 is equipped with a 3" LCD screen and an electronic viewfinder that delivers a clear view with 100% frame coverage for easy shooting even in bright sunlight. The camera detects when the viewfinder is in use and automatically turns off the LCD screen. You can record Full HD movies and edit them with Nikon 1 Short Movie Creator. You can take your photography and movie recording further with the different available lenses that still keep the camera compact! A Mount Adaptor that allows you to attach any NIKKOR SLR lens to your J1 so you can really experiment with your photography. The multi-accessory port allows for further shooting options like connecting a Speedlight flash for supreme light manipulation.
